Birth Doula Services

Due to COVID-19, the Kingston and Belleville hospital policy allowed one support person to accompany the birthing person. For this reason, I am changing my services to better support the needs of families at this time.

However, if you have chosen to have a home birth, I can support you and your partner in-person during labour and birth.

  • 1 free consultation
  • 2 prenatal visits (virtual or in-person with mask and/or social distancing)
  • Support by e-mail, text, or phone at all time
  • Attendance to birth (on call from week 38 till birth) in-person if I am your only support person, or virtually)
  • 2 postpartum visits (virtually or in-person with mask and/or social distancing)

Prenatal visits

  • 1 free consultation
  • 2 prenatal visits (virtually or in-person with mask and/or social distancing)

These prenatal visits are an excellent way to prepare you and your partner to be ready for labour and birth, and postpartum. Even if I don’t support you during labour and birth, this preparation will play a huge role in the birth place.

During those visits we will talk about your expectations (both the person giving birth and the partner), my role, the birth process, making informed decisions, birth plan, pain management, comfort measures, infant feeding, the fourth trimester and more. These visits allow me to give you the tools you need to have a satisfying birth.

Postpartum visits

  • 1 free consultation
  • 2 postpartum visits

With COVID-19, I realize that support from family and friends may be limited. The goal of these postpartum visits is to give you the support you need, whether it is to have someone taking care of the baby while you catch some sleep, infant feeding tips, baby care, help with meal preparation or cleaning, getting info about resources in the community or simply chatting with another adult. It all depends on your needs.

Payment options

Fees for the package can be paid by e-transfer. A 40% deposit is requested to reserve my service, and the full amount should be paid before birth or before the visits depending on the services.

Simply said, I do offer some flexibility. See contract for more information.

Another option – The Doula Support Foundation

If you earn $40,000 or less, please do contact the Doula Support Foundation as they offer very affordable and quality doula care. You can also request for my services if you wish through them.
